Looking Towards the Future

What Up blog watchers!?!

Ok so here's the low down, I am watching Paranormal Activity tonight and am REALLY freaked out about it. You should probably know that I am easily terrified of scary movies and nothing will make me more uncomfortable then the motion picture I will be watching later tonight. The good news however is that The Office is also on and that show is hysterical!

Speaking of scary - I have begun the v. (sometimes I put v. instead of very, in most cases it's shorter, unlike this time because I typed all this to explain) freighting process of looking into Grad Schools. GAHHHHHH! I mean it's just a fact I'm going to go so I should probably look into the places where they have my program, but I'm TWENTY YEARS OLD people! The last time I was looking at schools was when I was a Junior in High School debating on where I wanted to go for my Undergrad and now this?!? Unacceptable, these past years have flown by which is why I know that I can't rest on these laurels of mine to look into even more higher education. Although the thought of it is terrifying.

I guess there's not much I can do about it though eh? I'm excited for the possibilities, so although it is completely freaking me out, I'm really looking forward to expanding on this next chapter in my life.

The point I'm trying to make? We're in the same boat! You are looking for a place to go to school, to find that right somewhere that makes you feel comfortable, your home away from home.. and well so I am. Maybe in the long run we can help each other.

Rachel's thought of the week: Watch the show Friday Night Lights. I'm serious! It's an awesome show. WARNING: You will fall in love with Matt Saracen.

Keep it Simple

Hey Guys!!

So... Welcome to my blog!

My name is Rachel - I am a Sports Business Management major with a minor in Sports Administration. I am a Junior (holla!) from the wonderful town of Punxsutawney, PA, and a proud current resident of the always beautiful Erie, Pennsylvania.

I’m not entirely sure what the real purpose of a blog is, but this one is going to be about making your transition from high school to college easier, and how to make the most of your freshman year! Lucky for you, myself and the other dedicated Mercyhurst Bloggers have all been through this before.

The goal is to use my blog, along with the other Mercyhurst Bloggers and make life just that much easier.  Maybe by reading some of our first hand experiences it’ll settle the nerves a bit and make the idea of college sound less terrifying and scary and more exciting and fun!

Rachel’s thought of the week: Keep you’re everyday life simple. Focus on the important things first, and let the rest fall into place!
